People have the capability to truly change and grow, especially with the Lords help, so . . .

Dear Family and Friends
These past week has probably been one of the busiest of mission in terms of lessons being taught, plus things like General Conference and doing all of duties in the Branch. But anyhow, here is the day by day:
Tuesday, April 5:
Was a busy day… Studies in the morning, followed by just an hour of contacting and then after that we had lessons until English at 6. On of these lessons was with M., that super cool guy from a week or two or go. We were concerned about him because he owns a bar, but this last week we asked him how work was going, and he said poorly. When we asked why, he said he was going to selling his bar so that he could go all in on baptism with us! He said he was tired of that part of his life and he is ready to make a change and spend time with his family! Such an amazing guy! After that we just had English, followed by a  lesson and dinner with E.
Wednesday, April 6:
We had District Meeting in the morning, followed by splits with the other Elders so we could cover all the lessons we had on plan from 3 to 7! Such an amazing purposeful day!
Thursday, April 7:  We helped a new student that we met on the street, find a bike to use during her stay her in Olomouc. Her name is Emily and she is from China. We started teaching her, and it has been really cool to see how she has come from knowing nothing about God to praying to feel his love. After
We helped a new student that we met on the street, find a bike to use during her stay her in Olomouc. Her name is E. and she is from China. We started teaching her, and it has been really cool to see how she has come from knowing nothing about God to praying to feel his love. After that, we had lessons with some other people until Game Night at 6. It was fun because we were able to get one of our friends K. there with us and she had a great time!
Friday, April 8:  We were able to go meet with some representatives from a charity in Olomouc to find out how we can get going on some service. After
We were able to go meet with some representatives from a charity in Olomouc to find out how we can get going on some service. After that, we did some normal street contacting until we had a lesson with a less active member that went quite well. After that, we had another dinner/lesson with E. and a member in the Branch.
Saturday, April 9:
We were able to watch Conference in Czech with the whole Branch (and E.)! Which is always amazing! But that was all of our day, no complaints.
Sunday, April 10:
Once again we watched Conference with the Branch and then we got out and went finding the rest of the night.
Today, April 11:  Ellie had her baptismal interview early today! And then after
E. had her baptismal interview early today! And then after that, we went and found where we will be doing her baptism! It is a cool little lake called Podebrady, just a little ways from Olomouc. After that, we had a lesson, and here I am emailing you all now!
So, in light of General Conference, I wanted to share a quick thought about it. The one thing I have learned is that people have the capability to truly change and grow, especially with the Lords help. So, take all the wonderful things the Brethren have shared with us and put it to use – be that righteous generation because it all starts now with us. I am so grateful for the gospel, for Heavenly Father and especially Jesus Christ. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Have a great week!
Happy days!

  1. I looked up Podebrady Lake so I could see where Ellie is getting baptized. When Aunt Camille was in Greece some baptisms were on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea. I always thought it would be an amazing experience to be baptized out in nature. Tell Ellie congratulations and welcome to our church for me. I’m so excited for her.

I’ve been learning about, Olomauc, the area you are serving in. It’s incredible! I would love to go there with you someday and see it for myself. What an amazing, life expanding experience you are having. I’m very happy for and proud of you.

Zachary is expecting his mission call next week!!

    Love,
    Grandma Dawn
