Dear Family and Friends,
Not a lot of time today..
But really quick this week was great! The work has seen so many miracles the past week.
The work has seen so many miracles the past week.
Any who here is the day by day.
Tuesday, May 17th:
Was pretty normal. We spent most of the day doing various types of contacting (likeEnglishh, Gospel, Family History, ect.) until we had our English Group at 6. It was great because we had a lot of new people who came! Afterwards we taught an Intro to Mormonism class, followed by a dinner with an investigator.
Wednesday, May 18th:
We had District Meeting in the morning which was good. Then the highlight of the week happened. We had a lesson with John and he surprised us and brought a friend named Tom. So, we taught them the Restoration and Tom committed to a baptismal date! He is a way cool 22 year kick boxer who already has an awesome testimony of the Book of Mormon. After our miracle, we contacted the rest of the day.
Thursday, May 19th:
Just normal day, full of wonderful contacting. At the end of the day, we had sports night where we played soccer which was a lot of fun, and to end the day we went and got Subway with the YSA.
Friday:, May 20th: Was kinda crazy… We had a lesson and lunch with Ellie at 11, then a meeting with President Zatloukal at 1, another lesson with John and Tom at 2, at 3 a lesson with Marek, and at 4 a lesson with a new investigator. So it was a great day!

Saturday, May 21st:
We had weekly planning in the morning, and then we had lunch with a new investigator that went alright. Then, we met with Tom and John for a quick lesson about the Plan of Salvation, which went well. And then, we had another lesson with a new investigator from India. So it was a pretty exciting day.
Sunday, May 22nd:
We had church as normal, but the highlight was that Tom came to church. The rest of the day we went out to go visit some members at their homes to share a quick spiritual message with them.
Monday, May 23rd:
We traveled to Brno and had a wonderful training from President and Sister McConkie about how we interact with the Spirit as missionaries and how we can help others feel his influence. And afterwards we traveled back to Olomouc for Family Home Evening.
Spiritual thought this week comes from the video “Hope of God’s Light” (https://www.lds.org/media-library/video/2014-07-006-the-hope-of-gods-light?lang=eng). I believe I have shared this video in the past, but I just watched it recently again with an investigator here in Olomouc. It made me think back on when I found out the church was right for me. It made me think of why I was part of the church, and how my life had changed once I embraced the church in my life. Like Tod Sylvester I felt that love and joy in the church, I knew that it was true, and my life is forever different because of it. Ask yourself why you are part of the Church of Jesus Christ? Why do you pray? Why do you go to church every Sunday? Why do you read in the scriptures? It goes against all the convetions of the world, but we do it anyway. Why? Because it is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
Have a great week!
