. . . we need not ever worry because there is nothing outside of the Lord’s hands.

Dear Family and Friends,

Another freakishly fast week gone by. I really have no clue how time is just slipping by
quicker and quicker, but here is the day by day:
Monday, October 10:
After emailing last week we went and had a member visit at the Auderlicky’s home which was absolutely wonderful.
Tuesday, October 11:
We traveled over to Pardubice for District Meeting, after studies of course Then we went and got lunch as a District, followed by group finding. We ended up doing a big chalk display advertising the free English groups we have, and it went super well! Then we did a group language study, with some hot chocolate to recover from the cold then it was back to HK for a lesson with sister B, a recent convert. Then we were outside contacting, until we had English at 6 where we talked about everyone’s favorite Movies and TV Shows.
Wednesday, October 12: Studies in the morning, and then we went to teach a lesson with the other Elders the lesson went well and we all think she is going to progress well.
Studies in the morning, and then we went to teach a lesson with the other Elders the lesson went well and we all think she is going to progress well. Afterwards, we went and did some finding until we got lunch, and then it was right back out the door to contact some more. At about 5 we started our exchange with the Jicin Elders (I got to go with Elder Bourn, my third companion). It was a good time, we found a couple new investigators and then we got a dinner to celebrate Elder Bourn’s one-week late birthday!
Thursday, October 13: Elder Bourn and I were still on exchanges, so we did regular studies in the morning, followed by a couple hours of contacting. Then we grabbed a quick
Elder Bourn and I were still on exchanges, so we did regular studies in the morning, followed by a couple hours of contacting. Then we grabbed a quick lunch before we ran over to do a singing display with the other Elders. It went well and we found three new investigators from it, and we ran into a young girl we met while doing service with a member (more on that later). After that, we had our interview and ended the exchange. Back with Elder Oviatt, we went to the Prazakovi’s for another member visit. As with the Auderlickys, it was amazing and helped me develop an even greater love for those members here in HK.
Friday, October 14: We weekly planned in the morning, and then made
We weekly planned in the morning, and then made spaghetti squash with the other Elders for lunch, and then we were out contacting until we had RDV for the Branch.
Saturday, October 15: We did some studies, and then we went out service
We did some studies, and then we went out service tracting with the Sisters. Then we went back to HK for a quick lunch and then Elder Oviatt and I went out finding, until we had Sports night. With the weather getting colder there were fewer people, but we still had ten or twelve people there. To end the night we ran home and got changed to go to a lesson with an investigator Elder Bourn and I found from Canada. She was open to our message and was willing to try and find out for herself, so we are excited to be working with her.
Sunday, October 16:
We went to church, as is the usual. We had a couple of people who came which was great! One of them was that 12-year girl we saw on Thursday! As I said we saw her on the streets and I gave her on of our cards and told her to talk to one of the member’s daughters if she had any interest to learn more, and she did! After church, we spent some time talking with all them, and then we had our mission correlation meeting. Then we went to the Holts, where we made pizza in celebration of Elder Rees two year mark. We then piled into the car and went tracting for the rest of the day.
Today, October 17:
We went to the other Elders early in the morning so Elder Oviatt could cut theiIMG_1884.JPGr hair, and then we went to the Holts, where a member taught us how to make a delicious potato soup and fruit knedliky (dumplings). And now we are emailing!

Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be frightened, and do not be dismayed, for the Lord Your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9

I don’t have a ton of time today (I have to write exchange reports and all that good stuff), but I just wanted to share this quick scripture with you. I love it because it shows that strength and courage is a choice, and we need not ever worry because there is nothing outside of the Lord’s hands. I know he lives and loves us, in his name, amen.
Have a great week!
Happy Days,
