Dear Family and Friends,
Life is good here in the Czech Republic! I don’t think I have ever been so happy and exhausted in my life. Anyhow, here is the day by day:
Sunday, December 4th:
We went to church, and we had a couple investigators there which was good. After, we taught a lesson to one of them named Ondrej, and it went great! He committed to regular lessons with us to learn about who God is. After we had lunch, followed by a couple of hours of District Tracting. Once it got too late to tract, we practiced for our Christmas Concert for an hour. Then we ended the night with call-ins.
Monday, December 5th:
We had Office Meeting early in the morning, followed by a quick meeting with President. Then we got some lunch as a District and did some contacting. Afterward, we prepared a meal for Family Home Evening and hosted it in the church building. We had a wonderful turn-out and it was a great to see more of the YSA there.
Tuesday, December 6th:
We had studies in the morning, and then we spent the rest of the day coordinating things for Mission Leadership Council, the Seniors Conference, and several other logistical projects.
Wednesday, December 7th:
We had studies again, followed by District Meeting, District Lunch, and Concert practice. After all of that, we went out and did some finding for a couple of hours, until we went to President’s to watch a series of role-plays we filmed.
Thursday, December 8th:
We had studies, followed by lunch with a good member friend. Then we ran to a lesson with Mirek, and he had a wonderful experience, where he felt like God heard and answered his prayer. So, we talked about that and challenged him to pray about working towards baptism again. After that, we went to President’s to plan some last minute things for Mission Leadership Council, and then we went to a members house for dinner with the rest of the District to end the night.
Friday, December 9th:
We traveled to the Hotel we were having Mission Leadership Council in the morning, and the rest of the day was meetings. We started at 10 and we went until 7, with a break for lunch. Then we had a fireside with some of the Branch/Ward missionaries that came, and we ended the night with a quick 30 minute game of indoor soccer.
Saturday, December 10th:
We had a combined Missionary Leadership/Member Missionary meeting, to coordinate our efforts for the coming year. Then we had lunch with everyone and then we came back to Prague. After that, we went to see the Christmas markets, and now we are emailing.
This week I would just like to bear my testimony of the joy the Gospel brings. As I said at the beginning of my email, I have never been happier in my life than I am now. As I have come to understand the Gospel and it’s principles in my life I have blessed with constant peace, feelings of love, and clarity in my life. People spend their whole lives looking for joy. They try to find it in success, money, and other objects of the world. We are so blessed to have the Gospel that gives us this constant joy every day. I know God loves us, that Jesus Christ provided us with the opportunity to reach our eternal potential, and that his Gospel is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
